Fires are classified by the type of burning material, and using the wrong agent can be dangerous. RUFO's multipurpose dry powder is effective across a wide range of these classes.
Class A — solids
Fires of wood, paper, cloth and plastic. The most common type of fire in homes and offices.
Class B — flammable liquids
Petrol, oil, paint and solvents. Water must never be used here as it spreads the fire.
Class C — gases
Fires from natural gas, methane and propane. Shutting off the gas source is the first vital step.
Class E — electrical
Fires in electrical panels, electronics and servers. The agent must be non-conductive; RUFO's dry powder is ideal for this.
Class F — oils & fats
Cooking oil and fat fires. This class is very dangerous in domestic and industrial kitchens.
